Leiden
Discover the university city of Leiden, the birthplace of Rembrandt and located near the beach. Leiden is known for its university, historic city center with canals, beautiful monumental buildings and its many museums. Take a boat trip or a courtyard walk or visit one of the many charming restaurants. The Hortus Botanicus is also always worth a visit.
The Hague
The Hague is the only major city with a beach directly on the North Sea coast. The city boasts many monuments, luxurious hotels, and a political heart. The Dutch government is located at the historic Binnenhof, and the king's working palace is on Noordeinde. You can visit stunning art museums and enjoy a day of high-end shopping.
Utrecht
Utrecht is the vibrant heart of the Netherlands. The city is centerend around the Domtoren, which is visible from almost everywhere. This makes it virtually impossible to get lost in the charming, carfree city center. Utrecht boasts beautiful canals with unique wharf cellars, as well as cafes and terraces right on the water.
